Lumen is John Wills - formerly drummer with the mighty Loop and The Hair and Skin Trading Co - and Pinkie Maclure, a remarkable vocalist who's worked with John Parrish and PJ Harvey among others. This collaborative effort fuses their interests in all things avant-textured and minimally soundscaped - at times, recalling Diamanda Galas sighing over the most delicate glitch, others Marlene Dietrich joining Talk Talk.
